LAKE LUCKY cover & excerpt!
Jan. 31st, 2019 01:52 pmI'm very excited to announce my forthcoming title, Missing Cities #2: LAKE LUCKY! Lake Lucky stars Som, a math tutor and musician who can't figure out whether or not he's looking for love, and Ian, a recently divorced single dad, professor at a local university, and surprisingly good banjo player (or so Som thinks, anyway).

If you've read FARM OF FANCY, you might recognize Som's name—as Gabe's ex. Four years after breaking up with him, Som hasn't found a stable relationship since (which is fine). Obviously that has nothing to do with Gabe, but—
Wait—are you laughing? Why does no one believe him when he says that?
Coming out at the end of February, LAKE LUCKY explores anxiety, affliction, and attraction by the British Columbia lakeside. You can read an excerpt today over at Queer Books Unbound:

(It's a process, but I'm getting better at covers! Thank you so much to Rowan, Alice B., and Alex who gave me invaluable feedback on making this look even halfway nice. Alex also made my gorgeous icon—you can visit her on twitter for more incredible art.)

"My situation's still the same," Ian said. "So is yours. But we've got this connection..."
"Oh my God," said Som. "I bet you were a real asshole in college."
Ian's low laugh sent shivers down his spine. "I don't hear you arguing."
